Custom pallets can be made from either NEW or reclaimed material in any size or style to suit any application. Your account manager will ask you about your specific requirements. They can also determine if similar pallets are available in the reconditioned supply chain that might be able to save time and money.
You may require custom pallets if:

Your load requires a pallet with non-standard dimensions

You are using shipping sacks or supersacks that require a solid top surface

You have JIT or Six Sigma color coding requirements for easy pallet recognition

Your load needs to be shrink wrapped prior to shipping and either wing tip edges or cropped corners are needed

Your floor personnel use pallet jacks and need chamfered bottom lead boards
Combined Material Pallets
In a similar way to Custom made pallets, Combination pallets can be customized for specific purposes. These pallets are made from a combination of new and reclaimed materials, hence their industry nickname, “combo” pallets. Because they use some reclaimed materials, they can be less expensive than pallets using all new materials. They are typically made by hand and are almost always stringer style pallets. As a general industry practice, either the stringers are new wood and the deck boards are reclaimed or the reverse is true.
Combo pallets are ideal in cases where the customer wants the look of a new pallet but without the higher cost and Pallets Direct can help! Your Pallets Direct account manager can help you make the right choice whether you have unique design requirements or are on a tight budget, or both.
